Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance
- Over 6 years of hands-on experience in front-end development
- Strong proficiency with React 16+, Redux, Mobx Store Management, Node.js, Typescript, ES6, CSS3, CSS Preprocessors, Grid Layout Knowledge, and Jest Test
- Familiarity with Agile and Iterative delivery methodologies
- Passion for writing elegant, maintainable, well-documented, and secure code, including abstraction and refactoring
- Capability to influence architectural and design decisions
- Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting production issues
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Background in distributed systems and Microservices architecture
- Practical knowledge of RESTful web services, web applications, and transactional databases
- Exposure to enterprise integration services/solutions and API gateways
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Docker, and Jenkins
- Bonus: experience in regulated financial organizations
Responsibilities: - Join an Agile team of developers and automation engineers with support from a product manager and scrum master, collaborating across Online Banking pods
- Partner with Product and business owners to gain a deep understanding of business domains and products, suggesting optimal designs and implementations to address user needs regarding functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Allocate significant time to system design while also engaging in hands-on implementation tasks
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of our client-facing web application, microservices, data architecture, and databases along with their integrations
- Become a subject matter expert within a specific technical area, establishing frameworks and standards for engineers to adhere to best practices
- Estimate the scope of large features and releases effectively
- Break down complex feature sets for team comprehension, leading successful implementations and training team members for future tasks
- Drive technical designs towards agreement and approval from the Architecture Review Team
- Design and develop enterprise solutions tailored to specific business needs that offer frameworks, interfaces, and services for future adaptability
- Perform impact analyses on proposed changes considering existing architecture and technology solutions
- Identify alternative solutions or trade-offs, assessing cost/benefit implications of proposals
- Conduct group training sessions and share knowledge through lunch and learns
- Suggest enhancements to processes and collaborate with product managers or team leads for approval, documenting updates
- Recognize opportunities for refactoring and tech debt remediation within the codebase, incorporating these into regular delivery activities
- Utilize your experience to ensure code quality and mentor junior engineers
- Participate in architecture and design discussions, leveraging knowledge of existing codebases
- Guide team members through large-scale feature planning and positively engage in code reviews
- Exhibit a passion for continuous learning and development to support personal growth and contribute constructively to the team
