Salary: $135,600 - 149,760 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
• 5 to 6 years of experience in a data engineering role or a similar Business Intelligence position
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL, Postgres, or Oracle
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience with NoSQL databases like Capella or MongoDB
• 3 to 4 years of experience with Python or a similar programming language
• Strong proficiency with cloud technologies, particularly Azure (experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS is also acceptable)

• Design and develop large-scale automated and cost-effective data pipelines that integrate across multiple platforms and various data sources using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and Azure Analysis Services
• Make critical architectural choices related to data modeling, storage solutions, real-time processing, and orchestration
• Work with complex multi-statement queries to enhance their performance and troubleshoot any related issues
• Implement scalable, reusable, and efficient data frameworks that uphold data quality, integrity, and consistent performance
• Create and maintain intermediate to advanced Terraform scripts
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, perform code reviews, and offer technical guidance on best practices
• Convert business requirements into technical design documents and execution plans
• Participate in support rotations while proactively identifying and resolving issues as needed
• Monitor and optimize Azure resources for effective cost management
• Stay informed on the latest Azure services and features
• Assess and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data engineering procedures

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer who will contribute to our team located in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will assist in achieving essential team goals such as Data Migrations, Data Governance, and Data Integrity. You will collaborate with data science, development, and business analytics teams to design scalable data solutions that emphasize quality and performance.
