Position Purpose & Summary

Performs the functions of a pool attendant and maintains the daily operations at the Recreation Center, Three Graces and Infinity Pools, consistent with the goals and directives of the Food & Beverage Managers They will assist with the organization and execution of all pool set-up, upkeep, tear-down, member assistance, food service needs, cleanliness of the pools, pool decks, locker rooms Three Graces bathrooms, and Recreation Center, always ensuring patron's safety and wellbeing, and assist pool events.

Essential Functions:

• Able to ensure the safety of all pool patrons, whether in or out of the pool, of all ages.
• Available to work various hours and shifts as dictated by the needs of the operation.
• Assists with maintaining the Recreation Center Pool, Three Graces Pool, Infinity Pool, locker rooms, and Recreation Center in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion, including opening/closing, answering the phone, and checking members/guests both in and out, according to established procedures.
• Keeps both Recreation Center and Three Graces Pools and storage areas neat and in safe working order.
• Setting up pools with pool chair covers and rolled towels. Replacing pool chair covers and towels once each member and guest officially leaves.
• Welcoming, checking in and escorting members and guests to available seating.
• Guiding guests through food service offerings, times and coordinating assistance with servers/bartenders.
• Ability to move umbrellas, chairs, and tables for member and guest convenience.
• Ensure neat and safe working areas at the Recreation Center Pool, Three Graces Pool and Infinity Pool to include daily cleaning, vacuuming/skimming the pool, scrubbing tiles, sweeping the pool deck, throwing away trash, and any other necessary tasks.
• Helping to clear empty dishes, glasses and trash along the pool deck, and pool adjacent areas.
• Assists in promoting and selling food/drink/merchandise available at the pools.
• Check IDs at the Infinity Pool to ensure guests and members are 21 years old or older.
• Communicating pool maintenance and equipment/supply needs with requisite departments and leadership in a prompt manner.
• Help communicate to guests, pool closures related to cleaning, maintenance or inclement weather in a professional tone.
• Helps dispose of all trash in F&B service areas and coordinates with housekeeping emptying of large trash bins and towel pick-up.
• Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Provide extraordinary service that is "Enriching by Nature."
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist guests to seats, help guests with umbrellas and always anticipate the guest's needs.

• Helping with events held at the pools.
• Must be available during Holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day)

Position Requirements:

1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires the ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, record keeping, or word processing. Has the need for good communication skills and patience.

1. Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: High School enrollment, High School Diploma or GED.

1. License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Must have or be able to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificates. Lifeguard and/or Water Safety preferred.

Environmental Factors:

Environmental factors may include indoor setting with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation. May occasionally be called upon to work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather.
