Job Description

Salary: $75,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar discipline
  • Preferred: Masters degree in a data, analytics, or healthcare-related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of analytics experience
  • At least 3 years in healthcare management, including areas such as Workers Compensation, Health Plans, Insurance, Medical Case Management, and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
  • Preferred: Experience with Workers Compensation and Specialty Health Programs
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in communicating, summarizing, and presenting complex analytics findings to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in analytical and reporting software, database tools, and data mining software
  • Experience with industry-standard data visualization tools and dashboards incorporating both statistics and visuals
  • Familiarity with both in-house and third-party data sources
  • Knowledge of project management and agile methodologies
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite tools
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain security clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite, SQL, and SSMS
  • Familiar with Power BI and DAX (preferred intermediate)
  • Basic knowledge of VBA, Tableau, R, Python, SAS, and Snowflake (beginner level)
Responsibilities:
  • Generate, document, and present ad-hoc or regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) with accompanying visualizations and analyses to internal and external clients, explaining performance and trends in laymans terms
  • Develop reports and visualizations from various data sources by querying databases and utilizing analytical tools such as SSMS/VBA, Power BI, Excel, and Access
  • Utilize Power BI to create and enhance dashboards that integrate both statistics and visual elements
  • Assist customers by merging in-house and external data sources, as well as industry benchmarks, to derive actionable insights
  • Collaborate with clients, account managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to communicate program outcomes and offer strategic recommendations
  • Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy while optimizing reporting processes
  • Contribute to the organizations quality programs and the related tools/protocols
  • Test prototype software and engage in the approval process for new software
  • Work with technical staff to streamline data ingestion, database tools, and reporting software
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish and sustain data standards and common data elements
  • Aid in documenting processes through Work Instructions or SOPs
  • Provide guidance and answer questions for junior team members
  • Conduct peer reviews and quality checks of analytic tools and reports generated or modified by colleagues within the Analytics team
