Position Overview:

NOW Hiring! Salon Hair Assistant

Pay rate: $17.87 / Hour

Schedule Tues & Sat 9:00am – 5:00pm Wed - Fri 11:00am - 7:30pm

Location: Hollywood, CA 

Job Summary:

The Salon Hair Assistant will perform various routine duties to support the salon and Stylists.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Comb, brush, spray, shampoo, condition, and Cleanse hair.
• Apply temporary hair color and remove residual color products.
• Apply and maintain safe and hygienic work practices such as cleaning combs and other equipment.
• Maintain work areas by sweeping floors and cleaning benches and shelves.
• Assist with salon reception duties such as answering telephone calls, making appointments, seating clients, and taking payments.
• Prepare refreshments for clients.
• Assist senior staff with tasks.
• Maintain salon presentation, and product displays and replenish inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and special events.
• Able to travel periodically to east coast required

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Cosmetologist License required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the salon space.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
