Oswego County Social Services has immediate openings for Caseworkers responsible for providing social casework services to individuals and/or their families to assist them with achieving optimum self-sufficiency by addressing economic, emotional, social, and environmental difficulties. Caseworkers, in consultation with higher-level Senior Caseworkers, formulate and carry out plans to meet the individual needs of the cases assigned. In-service training is provided through the department's staff development program.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
This title has been approved to be filled without the need to take an exam for a limited period through the HELP Program. Candidates appointed permanently to this title will NOT need to take an exam and will remain in their position even when the HELP program ends.
